Hi Mrs. Koch The video you made was creative. How did you get the flowered background? Also the butterfly video I watched the other day was cool. The butterflies were very, very pretty. Corrina
Dear Mrs.Koch, I really like exploratory. Where did you get all those awesome centers? I am studying Claude Monet. He is my favorite artist. Exploatory is my favorite subject. Lily
I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I made it with a Web 2.0 application called Animoto. You will find the link listed on our Web 2.0 tab. It lets you take pictures and turn them into a video slide show with music. You can make a 30 second video for free, but they charge you if you want your video to be longer.
Xander, making the video is really easy. The application does all the work. I am hoping you will have a chance to make one sometime in class.
Theo, I'm glad you liked the music. That is the hard part for me. They have lots of free music you can use, but it is hard for me to find the right music for the pictures we use.
Corrina, the butterfly video is one of their templates (a preset video theme.) They have several neat ones from which you can choose.
Ashley, I try to take pictures while you are working and when you finish special projects. Then we can share your work with everyone here on our blog.
Animoto does require that a user sets up an account. You are not old enough to have your own account, so be sure to talk to mom and dad rather than trying to do it yourself. You might check to see if your parents are willing to set one up.
Dear Scott, Lily, Cady and Corrina, I am glad you are enjoying your centers. I get ideas for topics from students and from books or videos I find. All of the centers have been written by SAGE teachers. Most of ours are ones I have made or modified from an Intermediate teacher's center. You will have to let me know if there is a topic in which you are interested and maybe I can find some time to do a new one on your topic.
